2002
On 26 July 2002 LOTOS Oil S.A. is created. 

2003
On 1 January 2003 the company LOTOS Oil is separated from the structure of the Gdańsk Refinery and starts operational activities as a company specialised in the production of oils and other lubricants.
In August a Sales Office in Warsaw is opened, in October production divisions in Czechowice are included in the Company. The Company starts developing dynamically, at the end of the year the newly-created Distribution Centre in Piotrków Trybunalski is opened. LOTOS Oil starts its successful export of products to eastern markets, amongst other to Russia, Belarus, Moldavia, Ukraine and to the Baltic States.

2004
The high quality of LOTOS Oil products is recognised as early as at the beginning of 2004, a fact corroborated by the award of the name “Europrodukt 2004” to the LOTOS Traffic Thermal Control 5W/40 oil. At the beginning of the year agreements are signed in connection with the take-over by LOTOS Oil of the Manufacturing Company of Lubricating Oils from Grupa LOTOS S.A. Then the oil plant of the Czechowice Refinery is added to LOTOS Oil. In 2004 also an office of LOTOS Oil is opened in Kraków.

LOTOS Oil successfully markets its products in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary, and opens its representative office in Ukraine. Asian and African markets become a totally new direction for LOTOS Oil, where its products appear for the first time in 2004.

An important event of 2004 is the reception on 19 April 2004 of the first certificate of the quality system in accordance with the requirements of the standard PN-EN ISO 9001:2001 of LOTOS Oil S.A.

2005
In the first quarter of 2005 the oil division of the refinery in Jasło is included in LOTOS Oil, the Company also becomes the owner of the oil division in Czechowice. The Company’s further successes are reflected in the prizes awarded to it: LOTOS Traffic Thermal Control becomes winner of the 15th edition of “Teraz Polska”, TURDUS Powertec 15W40 receives the title of the product of the year 2005 awarded at XII International Fair “Stacja Paliw 2005” and the title  ”Europrodukt 2005” in the 8th edition of the contest organised by the Polish Trade Association.

2006
Since 10 July 2006 LOTOS Oil S.A. may boast the Quality System Certificate in accordance with the requirements of the standard PN-EN ISO 9001:2001 in the scope of design and production of engine and industrial oils and sales of base oils, engine oils, industrial oils and plastic greases. Moreover, on 10 July 2006 LOTOS Oil S.A. as the first company of the Grupa LOTOS S.A. Capital group obtains the certificate of conformity with the requirements of AQAP 2110:2006. In October 2006 the Management Board Office is opened in Katowice.

2007
In 2007 LOTOS Oil S.A. develops a line of engine oils designed for KIA cars.
LOTOS Oil products have been awarded with prizes. REMIZ TG Super oil became winner of the contest “Najlepsze rozwiązanie, produkt 2006r.” On the other hand, LOTOS Semisyntetic oil became winner of the 7th edition of the Consumers’ Contest of Products Quality “Najlepsze w Polsce”.
