Marek Paweł Sokołowski is a graduate of Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Gdansk University of Technology and postgraduate studies in the implementation of investment projects in industry. He has completed many specialized international and national trainings in management. He has been working in Rafineria Gdanska S.A. (at present Grupa LOTOS) since 1973. He worked as a Technical Director and a Member of the Board from 1990. He was responsible for refinery operation and implementation of investments for three consecutive terms. From 1996 to 2000 Sokołowski managed a programme of expansion and modernization of Gdansk refinery. From the half of 2000 he worked as a Head of Technical Service and a Proxy of the Company. He has been a Vice-President of Grupa LOTOS Board since 19 April 2002. He manages and coordinates operations of production department, technical department, technology development department, and investment department. In the years 2004-2011 he was responsible for refinery expansion (Programme 10 +).
