May this year saw LOTOS launch three new service stations in Motorway Service Areas (MSAs) on the A4 and A2 routes. The first MSA opened in Rudka (A4 section near Tarnów) and the other two in Brwinów, a town located between the Pruszków and Grodzisk Mazowiecki interchanges, around 20 km near Warsaw.

LOTOS is consistently expanding its chain of motorway service areas, with 17 stations already operating on motorways A1, A2, A4 and A6, as well as on the S3 and S7 expressways. The LOTOS chain is scheduled to expand by a further two MSA's to be located on the A1 (Krzyżanów MSA) and A4 motorways (Komorów MSA).

It should be noted that in January this year LOTOS Paliwa was awarded the contract for the Komorów MSA, which is located on the other side of the Rudka MSA, on the south side of the A4 motorway (between the Wierzchosławice and Krzyż interchanges, province of Kraków). The MSA is scheduled to join the LOTOS network by September 2015.

Dynamic growth of the LOTOS chain

As at the end of May 2014, LOTOS operates 428 sites. The current chain of LOTOS stations comprises:

• 112 DOFO stations

Economy segment (LOTOS Optima brand): 156, including

• 105 CODO stations
• 51 DOFO stations

After the first three months of 2014, the share of LOTOS in the domestic retail fuel market rose to 9.2%, up 0.8pp year on year, bringing the Company closer to its strategic target of 10%. The retail segment's Q1 2014 operating profit came in at PLN 3.4m. This improvement is attributable to, among other things, operational optimisation measures.
