Another SUBWAY restaurant is scheduled to open on April 7th at a LOTOS service station in Poznań, with over ten more outlets under the US brand planned for launch in the course of 2016.

“We have teamed up with Subway to support our food and beverage brand Cafe Punkt and align it even better to customer expectations,” says Irmina Karpińska, Head of the LOTOS Paliwa Retail Stores and Services Department.

“Development in gas station is very important part of our strategy how to get closer to our customers in locations where they would not expect regular SUBWAY® restaurant. Worldwide there are over 4,000 SUBWAY® restaurants located in gas stations and highway rest areas. Cooperation with LOTOS is in line with this strategy with lot of opportunities,” says Martin Princ, SUBWAY CEE Area Development Manager.

The SUBWAY store opening at a LOTOS service station is the sixth restaurant of the American brand in Poznań and the 116th one in Poland. It is situated in a central location in Poznań, at ul. Jana Pawła II 2, near the Śródka Roundabout and very close to Adam Mickiewicz University. It is a busy city location, visited by motorists, public transport users and pedestrians.

In the next few weeks, the fourth SUBWAY restaurant is to open within the LOTOS network, by the S8 expressway, in the Emilianów Motorway Service Area near Warsaw.

Overall, LOTOS plans to open about a dozen SUBWAY restaurants in 2016.
