It was the most challenging and the only gravel-road elimination round of this year's Polish Rally Championship. How difficult the 69th Rally Poland was may be best gathered from the fact that from a total of 52 teams that enrolled for the race, 17 never reached the finish line. For the 13 special stages with a total length of 233 kilometres, LOTOS was represented by three teams.

So far unbeaten Kajetan Kajetanowicz and Jarek Baran with LOTOS Dynamic Rally Team came to Rally Poland holding the title of 2012 Polish Champions. After the unlucky qualification round, the LOTOS Dynamic Rally Team raced the special stages in extremely difficult conditions. They crossed the finish line fourth, having taken over all the other teams driving rally cars built on production models.
- After the wheel ripped off, we started from the 21st position, but we managed to finish the race just behind the three podium positions. - said Kajetan Kajetanowicz. - I think that in this situation we can feel like we did a year ago – like winners.
It was an unfortunate run for Michał Kościuszko, representing the LOTOS Dynamic Rally Team in Production World Rally Championship (PWRC). As the only driver in the rally he was able to fight head-to-head with the 21-year-old Finnish Champion Esapekka Lappi. Unfortunately, in the demanding Mrągowo special stage Michał Kościuszko damaged the car and was forced to withdraw from the race. Ultimately, the Finnish driver became the youngest winner of Rally Poland in the history of the event, having won 10 out of 13 special stages.
- We were driving very fast from the very start - said Michał Kościuszko. - We had to quickly learn the capabilities of the car which we drove for the first time. It's a pity we didn't finish the rally, all the more so that competing with Esapekka Lappi gave us a lot of satisfaction.
Wojtek Chuchała and Kamil Heller, representing LOTOS - Subaru Poland Rally Team, finished the rally in much higher spirits. They won in Group N and all circumstances suggest that they will secure the title of Polish Champions in the group even before the last round of the season, namely the 22nd Rally of Lower Silesia. In the general classification the L-SPRT team is eighth, while in the manufacturer classification the team is second.
- We didn't suspect that this rally would be so difficult - concluded Wojtek Chuchała at the finish line. - For the first time we saw nearly one metre deep ruts. Of course, there were also fantastic stages which allowed us to drive fast.
