General

In a ranking of the 500 largest Polish companies prepared by the Rzeczpospolita daily, LOTOS has again taken second.

Companies are ranked by sales revenue generated over the previous year. For 2012, LOTOS recorded revenue of PLN 33.1bn, more than 13% higher than in 2011.

LOTOS owes the strengthening of its place on the list of the largest Polish companies to a streamlining of its operation throughout the organisation, as well as the high volume of crude oil it has processed and the sales of its petroleum products – made possible by the full-capacity usage of units launched under the 10+ Programme.

Last year was not easy for the fuel industry. But despite the adverse conditions, LOTOS continued to increase its sales volume and market share, which had a favourable effect on the Company's performance. LOTOS proved that it is able to go through difficult economic periods while maintaining solid growth. This year, the Company will strive to follow this growth pattern.

In Rzeczpospolita's previous two rankings, Grupa LOTOS ranked second and fifth, respectively. It should be noted here that Grupa LOTOS ranked sixth in COFACE's November 2012 ranking of the 500 largest companies of Central and Eastern Europe. In their previous two rankings, Grupa LOTOS had ranked fifteenth and tenth, respectively.
