The second edition of the DEVELOPMENT INITIATION FORUM was held on June 11th – 12th. The Forum is a unique initiative for both the Pomerania region and the entire country. It is a meeting place for representatives of non-government organisations, local governments and business. The goal of the Forum is to initiate inter-sectoral cooperation to promote the development of the Gdańsk Province. Grupa LOTOS is a Partner of the Forum.

The key features of the June conference were its extensive programme and interesting guests. Nearly 300 participants took part in its sessions and workshops. The participants had a chance to exchange best practices and learn about proven cooperation and activation strategies, based on the examples of successfully completed projects. At the conference, Ms Patrycja Zbytniewska, Grupa LOTOS CSR Coordinator, shared her experience related to the building and implementation of a CSR strategy at her company.

"We plan to further develop the initiative in the coming years," said Ms Iwona Mostowska, Head of Grupa LOTOS Social & Cultural Affairs Department. "We want the annual conference to be a bonding element. Between the conferences, we will be implementing additional inter-sectoral projects, financed within the so-called Grant Fund. The idea of the Fund is to support inter-sectoral projects which respond to the real needs of the Pomerania region, while contributing to its ongoing development," she added.

This year's edition of the FORUM was held under honorary auspices of the Marshal of the Pomorskie Voivodeship Mieczysław Struk and the Mayor of Gdańsk Paweł Adamowicz.
