After a nearly two-month break, the racing season for the rally drivers sponsored by the LOTOS Group is beginning to heat up again. On August 1st, first up will be Robert Kubica and Maciej Baran, who will be burning rubber in the WRC-2 category of the Rally Finland, the eighth round of the World Rally Championship.

Kubica and Baran will be competing with as many as 18 other WRC-2 drivers on one of the most famous courses. By comparison, the WRC category of the Rally Finland will see 13 competitors jostling for position. Regardless of their category, all the crews will be driving over 332 km of 23 special stages, the last of which – Painaa 2 – is a 7.3 kilometre-long power stage.

The surface of the Finnish WRC courses is different from those previously charted by Kubica in this season’s previous gravel rallies. Finnish gravel is hard and dense, which makes it possible for vehicles to reach higher speeds. It’s also why this elimination is one of the fastest in the World Rally Championship. The Rally Finland’s courses are famous for their numerous spectacular jumps and blind elevations and the drivers and their co-drivers will have to tap the peak of their abilities, ensuring amazing thrills for the spectators.

After the Rally Finland, the LOTOS-sponsored drivers will be rolling out again at the WRC’s Rallye Deutschland (August 22nd-25th 2013). Both Robert Kubica and Maciej Baran, as well as the LOTOS Rally Team of Michał Kościuszko and Maciej Szczepaniak – will be competing at this event. Earlier, on August 8th, another LOTOS Rally Team pair – Kajetan Kajetanowicz and Jarek Baran – will be participating in the three-day Rally Rzeszów, which is the fourth round of the LOTOS Polish Rally Championship.

Grupa LOTOS is the Official Partner of Robert Kubica and the strategic partner of the LOTOS Rally Teams of Michał Kościuszko and Maciek Szczepaniak, and Kajetan Kajetanowicz and Jarek Baran.
