Michał Kościuszko and Maciek Szczepaniak have finished testing prior to their participation in the LOTOS 70th Rally Poland. The LOTOS Rally Team has been checking not only the strength of Kościuszko’s spine, but also their Ford Fiesta R5, which will be their drive in Poland’s most important rallying event.

The LOTOS Rally Team has been checking not only the strength of Kościuszko’s spine, but also their Ford Fiesta R5, which will be their drive in Poland’s most important rallying event.
Kościuszko and Szczepaniak finished two stages of testing, the first of which took place during last Saturday’s Warmiński Rally, and the other held today on the two-kilometre Łukajno stage.
“The results of the tests were good, but I’m still not sure what it’s going to be like on the long special stages, like in this rally. My spine still hurts, but I’m optimistic. During the testing, I drove on both wet and dry surfaces, so I was able see how our new car would do under different conditions. And, I’m just really happy to be here in Masuria and participating in the rally. This is our first start in front of a Polish crowd this year, so there’s going to be a lot of adrenaline,” said Michał.
“The Rally Poland has been one of my favourite Polish rallies since I won it here in 2006. This year, thanks to Grupa LOTOS’s involvement, the rally will be a world-class event, with every crew dreaming of taking first place and lofting the winner's cup. But because of Michał’s injury, we’ve been preparing for it in a special way. We ran the Warmiński Rally to see how his back would hold up, and both the rally and today’s testing gave us positive results. So, I believe that together with the other competitors, we’ll be able to put on a wonderful show for the LOTOS 70th Rally Poland,” said Maciek Szczepaniak.
