Since April, LOTOS-Air BP Polska has supplied aviation fuel to Emirates Airline. The agreement provides for the supply of Jet-A1 aviation fuel at Warsaw Chopin Airport.

Boeing-777, each day heading for Dubai under the colours of Emirates Airline, is refuelled from LOTOS-Air BP Polska’s road tankers. It is the largest plane on a regular route to and from Warsaw.

LOTOS-Air BP Polska is strengthening its footprint on the Polish aviation fuel market.

“In less than three years, LOTOS-Air BP Polska has tripled the number of its commercial airline customers who purchase aviation fuel on a regular basis,” says Maciej Kowalski, President of the Management Board of LOTOS Air BP Polska. “In 2015, at all the airports where it operates, the Company made into-plane fuel supplies to several hundred customers, including ca. 40 commercial airline customers.

The Company focuses on expanding its customer base in Poland. LOTOS-Air BP Polska attracts customers by offering top quality products and supplying fuel directly into plane in a timely and safe manner. Timely fuelling operations play a significant role in reducing costs and increasing airline profitability.

Recently, the Company has modified its logistics chain for fuel supplies to the Warsaw airport and is currently looking to expand its customer portfolio. The fuel produced at the Grupa LOTOS Gdańsk refinery is delivered directly to Warsaw Chopin Airport. Aviation fuel is transported from Gdańsk to Warsaw by LOTOS Kolej, Poland’s largest railway carrier of liquid fuels and chemicals.

It should be noted that in 2015 the Lublin and Olsztyn-Mazury airports joined the group of airports where the Company already operates (Gdańsk, Warsaw, and Katowice). The Gdańsk-based company is planning to offer its services to other airports as well, and is increasing its presence in the General Aviation sector, which includes private and business aviation (rather than scheduled air transport). The Company has the necessary know-how and sees considerable growth potential in services for general aviation.

LOTOS-Air BP Polska is a joint venture owned by Grupa LOTOS and BP Europa SE. The Company sells JET-A1 aviation fuel and AVGAS aviation gasoline and provides aircraft refuelling services at the Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport, Warsaw Chopin Airport, the International Katowice Airport, Lublin Airport, and the Regional Olsztyn-Mazury Airport in Szymany.
