LOTOS Group was ranked fourth in this year’s 11th edition of the Responsible Companies Ranking. The list features Poland’s largest companies, ranked according to the quality of their management of corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities. The results of this year’s ranking were officially announced during the European Economic Congress that took place on 11 May in Katowice.

 The 11th edition of the event put particular emphasis on responsible innovations, sustainable development and proper business management practices. This year’s ranking adopted a new structure that features three levels of companies’ advancement. The diamond level, which is the highest, features leaders of advancement. LOTOS Group achieved this level in this year’s edition. The platinum level mostly comprises well-advanced companies. The crystal level, which is the third available level, features companies that are advanced within the field of CSR and sufficiently active to be included in the ranking.

The rules of corporate social responsibility are permanently inscribed into our company’s values, and they support the implementation of our business strategy. LOTOS Group’s priorities include environmental goals and acting in accordance with the company’s social and business environment,” said Wiesław Labuda, the head of the Sponsoring and CSR Department at LOTOS Group.

This year’s edition marks the tenth time that LOTOS Group is featured in this prestigious ranking.

The categories that were evaluated as part of the Responsible Companies Ranking included: responsible business management, relations with external and internal stakeholders, responsible relations with social partners and the environment, sustainable development, responsible innovations within the field of professional life quality, social development and environmental impact.

In total, more than 200 companies active in the Polish market took part in the Responsible Companies Ranking. The initiative allows the featured companies to compare their results within particular fields of CSR between each other, and is also a valuable instrument of education, facilitating efforts to organise and develop the companies’ corporate responsibility strategies. This year, additional focus was placed on the significant challenges faced by the best companies as part of responsible innovations.

The Responsible Business Forum is the expert partner of the ranking which was prepared by Bolesław Rok from the Business Ethics Centre of Kozminski University and editor Jarosław Horodecki. Deloitte verified the submitted answers, and the ranking was published by local newspaper Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.
