On December 3rd 2013, Grupa LOTOS S.A. and Grupa Azoty S.A. signed an agreement on the future formation of a special purpose vehicle to conduct a comprehensive feasibility study on the construction of a new petrochemical complex, in the vicinity of both LOTOS and Grupa Azoty's existing installations.

Polskie Inwestycje Rozwojowe S.A. has executed its first investment project financing agreement with LOTOS Petrobaltic S.A.

Research vessel “Polar Duke” has commenced 3D seismic surveys of the area covered by the Gaz Południe exploration and appraisal licence held by LOTOS Petrobaltic S.A. The licence area includes natural gas accumulations designated as B21 and B16, as confirmed by exploration wells. The objective of the surveys is to make a detailed appraisal of the prospects to an extent sufficient to plan subsequent wells and assign reserves the fields.

The Grupa LOTOS refinery was recognised as the most energy efficient refinery in Central and Eastern Europe in 2012 in a ranking by Solomon Associates. At the same time, it secured one of the top positions among the most efficient refineries globally.
