The first season of the Kia LOTOS Race is drawing to an end. The last (sixth) round of the Kia Picanto Polish Racing Championship takes place this weekend. For the first time, the race will be held in the Automotodrom Brno, which is where the winners of this year's series will be announced. As many as six drivers have a fighting chance to win the keys to a brand new Kia Picanto.
On 7th of September 2012 Lotos EPN spudded its first partner operated well in Norway waters, the 7/11-13 exploration well “Geite prospect” in PL 497. LOTOS has a 10% share in this license. The well is located approximately 30 km west of the Ula filed.

Kajetan Kajetanowicz in tandem with Jarek Baran were the fastest team over nearly all special stages of the 38th Rally Košice. Getting to the finish line more than a minute ahead of the second best team, they won the Slovakian rally for the first time. The victory sealed their third consecutive title of Polish Champions in the general classification of the Polish Car Rally Championships.

For the LOTOS Dynamic Rally Team ADAC Rallye Deutschland, round nine in the World Championship and round six in the PWRC Classification, was the second asphalt event of the season after Monte Carlo Rally. By winning the rally, Michał Kościuszko advanced from the fourth to the second position in the PWRC classification.
In H1 2012, LOTOS turned in revenue of PLN 16,216.4m, up 22% year on year.
On 22nd of June "Bareilly" tanker berthed at Naftoport's fuel base. It delivered 60 thousand tonnes of Saudi Extra Light crude oil to Grupa LOTOS S.A.'s refinery in Gdańsk.
In Q1 2012, LOTOS earned a net profit of PLN 597m, which represents a seven-fold increase on Q4 2011. The Company’s operating profit was PLN 419m, up by 193% quarter on quarter.
Construction of the xylene separation unit at Grupa LOTOS’ Gdańsk refinery is nearing completion. Xylenes are used to produce polyester, which in turn is a feedstock for production of plastic and textile products. They are in high demand due to the dynamic growth of plastic packaging production globally. Sales of xylene are more profitable than sales of reformate used to produce xylenes.
