This year's World Rally Championship will see Michał Kościuszko and Maciek Szczepaniak competing in three events: the Rally d'Italia Sardegna, the ADAC Rallye Deutschland and the Wales Rally GB. In mid-September, the LOTOS Rally Team will also take part in the LOTOS 70. Rally Poland at Mikołajki.
After 3 days’ struggle, from May 31st to June 2nd, Robert Kubica and co-driver Maciek Baran emerged as WRC 2 class winners in the Acropolis Rally. For the Grupa LOTOS team, the victory is all the sweeter as this year's sixth World Rally Championship event – also known as the ‘Rally of Gods’ – is one of the most difficult of all the gravel courses.
Robert Kubica, supported by the LOTOS Group, will compete in the WRC 2 category of the FIA World Rally Championship for the second time in the 2013 WRC season. Today (Friday, May 31st) Kubica and his co-driver Maciek Baran will be at the start line of the Acropolis Rally, the sixth round of this year’s World Rally Championship.
Kajetan Kajetanowicz and Jarek Baran of the LOTOS Rally Team have won their second consecutive victory with the Wisła Rally, part of the 70th Polish Rally Championship. With a full set of points, Kajetanowicz and his co-driver Baran have gained a considerable 30-point-plus advantage over the other drivers in the General Classification.
Even though Robert Kubica was in the lead after four stages, in the end he could not take it to the podium – and not because of Corsica’s meandering routes, but due to a car failure. Kubica, whose official partner is Grupa LOTOS, withdrew from the race following a fuel pump failure after the fifth stage.

Discussion and debate among representatives of the worlds of science, politics and business will be taking place from the 13th-15th of May in Katowice, where guests will be meeting for the 2013 European Economic Congress. LOTOS is a main partner of this international conference.
Central Europe Energy Partners (CEEP), an association of companies and organisations from Central Europe working with the European Union, is organising a May 10th summit this year in Vilnius on the common energy policy in Europe. The summit is being held under the patronage of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania, Algirdas Butkievičiusa, and the Minister for Energy Jaroslavas Neverovičiusa.
The fourth Maritime Education Programme got underway yesterday in Gdańsk. As part of the project, Year One students from Gdańsk junior schools will enjoy several hours of sailing on the waters of the Bay of Gdańsk, as well as in the Port Channel. Grupa LOTOS is a sponsor of the Programme.
LOTOS closed the first quarter of 2013 with revenue of PLN 7.2 billion, a decrease of 8.4% year on year. This follows strong pressures on the financial results from the appreciating stronger US dollar, the maintenance shutdown of the Company's Gdańsk refinery, the impact of the so-called grey market for fuel in Poland, as well as a lengthy winter.
Although starting in the first ten, after completing three stages of the Rally Argentina the LOTOS Rally Team crew of Michal Kosciuszko and Maciej Szczepaniak were forced to withdraw from the competition on the last day, due to a faulty suspension in their WRC Mini.
